September 2024
Dear Greater Englewood Community:
The mission of the Englewood Community Care Clinic is to provide free medical services to the uninsured and working poor in the greater Englewood community. We have 50+ volunteers who serve residents of Charlotte and Sarasota counties who do not have health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. We are serving patients in-person on Monday and Thursday evenings starting at 4:30pm on a walk-in basis. We encourage patients to arrive as early as 4pm to complete needed paperwork and eligibility screening.
We are delighted to announce that effective September 10, 2024, we have partnered with the Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County to provide dental services on Tuesdays from 8am to 4pm by appointment. Adults who are uninsured and meet the Federal poverty guideline are eligible for emergency dental services that include an x-ray, limited oral exams, and non-complicated tooth extractions at no cost. Please call 941-624-7200 for more information on our dental services and to schedule an appointment.
Please note that the Englewood Community Care Clinic does not offer urgent or emergency care, nor does it give flu shots or routine immunizations. Other services that the clinic does not offer include:
Prescribing chronic pain medication
Disability determination exams
HIV or STD diagnosis or treatment
Pregnancy testing or pregnancy-related problems
School or sports physicals
Second opinions
Thanks for your support and for allowing us to serve you.
Sincerely,
Beth Harrison, Executive Director
